How to change location?
Registering a new place of work/change of Trust
Colleagues who are changing Trust need to ensure they are registered with their new place of work on their Connect NENC account. This means:
- patients they refer appear under the correct Trust/hospital
- patients they see on the dashboard are from their new place of work
The table below explains how to change your place of work and if a change of registration email is needed.
Current organisation | New organisation | ||
---|---|---|---|
Northumbria Healthcare | North Cumbria Integrated Care | All other Trusts | |
Northumbria Healthcare (using – @northumbria-healthcare.nhs.uk) | Re-register using new NCIC email address or NHS.net email | Re-register using NHS.net email address | |
North Cumbria Integrated Care (using @ncic.nhs.uk) | Re-register using new NHFT email address or NHS.net email address | Re-register using NHS.net email address | |
All other Trusts (using NHS.net) | Switch hospital base or re-register using NHFT address | Switch hospital base or re-register using new NCIC email address | Switch hospital base |
If you need to re-register:
Colleagues leaving Northumbria or North Cumbria currently using a Trust-specific email account will be given a new email address at their new Trust. Colleagues can then register for an account using this new email address.
As previously, colleagues with a GMC number will self-validate. The new account will become active and the account that the GMC number was previously associated with will inactivate. Non-medical colleagues will need to await validation as previously. Waiting for validation will not stop the user from making a referral in Connect NENC.
If you need to switch:
-
Spoke user (referrer)
To switch organisations, log into your Connect NENC account. Then change your hospital and department in the “Profile > Edit Profile” section. For governance reasons, you are only allowed to change this twice in any 6-month period.
-
Hub user (referee)
If you are a hub user who is changing Trusts (usually higher speciality training grades) you should contact the team that you are rotating to at your new Trust.
